What You Can Expect

Once you schedule a training session, I’ll have initial contact with you by email and telephone. This is to cover exercise and health history information and to get your initial goal setting information so I can start working on your program. During our first meeting, we’ll record your vital statistics, cover postural and movement assessments, and identify any limitations that may require modification to your program.

Next we’ll cover various forms of movement that you will be using in your exercise program. I believe in the “crawl-walk-run” method, meaning that you must develop a solid foundation before you can begin working on more challenging exercises. Based on initial assessments, your program will start you at the appropriate place along that spectrum. To maximize the benefits of your exercise program, I will also help you make smart nutritional decisions to enhance your weight-loss and strength-gaining results.

Contrary to popular belief, you don’t need all sorts of complicated equipment to get fit. I’ll bring everything you’ll need, including some dumbbells, exercise bands, exercise mat, and medicine ball.

I use a periodized approach to exercise programming. This way you’ll stay interested in the program and your body will be forced to continually adapt to new challenges. That being said, each person’s individual response is different, and people tend to have different goals and expectations. These factors will dictate when to modify the program regarding exercise selection and intensity.

Each session lasts one hour, including a warm up, main workout, and cool-down and stretch. You will also be provided with a written plan for your program so that you can anticipate upcoming training sessions and see the plan to help reach your goals.

I look forward to working with you and can’t wait to see what you can achieve!
